Good but not fantastic extracurriculars and leadership and most ECs non engineering (Model UN, Academic Challenge, Temple Youth Group, Theater/Tech - deep involvement and leadership; Tennis, Music - not deep involvement)
7 APs, more honors (only can start AP in 11th grade, though he took Macro in 10th on his own).
Interested, but had convinced himself to choose Purdue (admitted to FYE/Honors) as we waited for this! We’ll see.

Admitted CS+Chemistry. How competitive is that?
Also, where can I see my financial aid offer? There’s a check next to it in the portal.
My kid also got into chemistry !

Accepted, Electrical Engineering! OOS.
Waitlisted for CS OOS. Does anyone know past waitlist statistics?
How many such CS+* options do they have? Hard to figure what is the outcome for these majors.
Denied OOS for CS
4.5W GPA (12/450)
1530 (730R, 800M)
Kind of surprised I didn’t get in even with perfect SAT math, but I probably wasn’t going here anyway
In-state D22 denied CS+Astronomy, waitlisted for DGS. It’s what we expected, though. Still a little bitter that a student in the top 10% of the state can’t go to her own flagship school.
How do you find out about honors??
My son now says he has a tough decision. He also got in Purdue FYE… We shall see.
DS denied for CS, instate, 36/1570/4.0 uw, 11 APs, two time AIME, above average EC
I’m quite surprised, maybe he had a serious typo in his essays lol
