Uiuc cob vs. Psu smeal?

Hi. guys. I'm international and I got admissions from UIUC and PSU. Both are business school and I'm trying to decide.

I think the tuition or environment are similar. and I heard those are both good.

So then
Which one has better reputation or alumni community after graduation?

I may do management for my major.

Thank you :)

I assume PSU is Penn State. I am biased as an alum of UIUC, but I think there is no comparison. UIUC is a top notch undergrad business school. The placement statistics tell the story. Look at things like 4-year graduation rate, % of students finding employment in their field within 3-6 months of graduation, names of companies recruiting on campus, % of students completing a semester of international study. UIUC has all their numbers on their website and they are impressive. PSU may also be good, but on many UIUC is the best in the Big Ten.

When it comes to reputation, both schools are more regional than national. UIUC is the first stop for campus recruiting for many Chicago firms, and UIUC grads are quite prevalent in management roles throughout the midwest. The other schools putting a lot of business grads into the Chicago market are Notre Dame and Miami. But the market is big enough to take the grads from all three schools and more.

PennState is more of an east coast reputation, particularly Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. But for those cities, PSU is not the number one choice they same way Illinois is for Chicago. Why? Wharton, Villanova, Georgetown, BC, BU, NYU, Cornell, Michigan, UNC, UVA are also putting out many top notch students looking to stay out east.
