UIUC comp sci or Cornell Comp sci?

I believe that I saw that US News tanked UIUC higher than Cornell in comp sci.

I found this conversation about UIUC : another two ivys but which are not ranked in comp sci.

Both are great, I would go with the less expensive option. As for UIUC, don’t let the public U thing fool you, their engineering programs would rival any.

thanks, voc. Apparently all the rankings is comp sci in the UIUC eng college. Do you have an idea how well the comp sci from UIUC’s LAS college is ? I do not know if Cornell also has a compsci degree from their LA college.

[NRC Rankings in Computer Science](NRC Rankings in Computer Science)

That might help  both are very closely ranked to each other. I would probably choose your best financial offer.

thanks for the link.

also, this list says computer science. Does it takes into consideration comp sci in the college of Eng as well as comp sci in the college of LAS?

What is the NRC?

I notice that Rose Hulman or Harvey Mudd are not on this list. Is this only for national university whose final degree is a phd?

They’re both excellent. For undergrad Cornell will be better since they’re much more selective in their admissions and will have generally better students.
