UIUC Economics liberal arts degree

So I'm sure everyone has heard of uiuc's great business program, and I would love to get in but im at an instate community college my freshman year. This makes transferring in quite hard. So i decided I could maybe do econ at uiuc instead, but it doesnt seem very reputable. I could also, instead, go to Depaul's business school for finance. So i have a few questions: will uiuc econ students share oppurtunities and open doors like with uiuc business students? Would finance from Depaul trump econ from uiuc? Would it be better to do econ at a liberal arts college like Illinois Wesleyan? All answers are appreciated, thanks.

Bumpppp???

UIUC does not have a good business program. Are you thinking of UChicago? UIUC has a cheap business program, but not a good business program.

UIUC has a very good program–esp for accting and finance. Most top Chicago firms recruit there.

You are wrong informative, first I don’t think UChicago has an undergrad business school, 2nd UIUC is ranked in the top 10 for accounting and finance

Post your question on the Business majors forum here on CC. You can also search there for other posts about those schools.

Informative’s name is very misleading haha. But alright i’ll try that since there doesn’t seem to be any direct answers.
