UIUC Engineering vs Purdue Engineering

<p>Would I be stupid to study industrial engineering in UIUC even though I got accepted to Purdue (industrial engineering as well)?</p>

<p>I already accepted my offer to UIUC because I was thinking of doing civil but i've come to change my mind about that and go for industrial. Or should I stay in civil? I know its not all about the rankings but UIUC is 2nd in civil, 6th in engineering overall but not top 10 in industrial.</p>

<p>It really doesn’t matter, an engineering degree at UIUC is an engineering degree at UIUC - that is, basically a guaranteed job coming out of college. You’ll be fine. The rankings don’t tell the whole story</p>
