UIUC Engineering?

Hey guys, I'm applying to UIUC's ECE program. What are my chances with these stats?

2140 SAT
3.5 unweighted gpa - i know it's low but i took rigorous courses in high school
3.9 weighted gpa
Great ECs, teacher recs, and essays

Senior Year Schedule: AP Calculus BC, AP Physics C, AP Computer Science, Honors Anatomy, and the rest regular courses

Should I make this a reach school due to my low gpa or do my other stats compensate for this?

Also, on the UIUC application, it does not list Electrical/Computer Engineering as a major. Do I write Electrical Engineering and decide ECE later on?

I am not sure what you are doing with the app. The application allows you to choose either electrical engineering (program code KP0115S) or computer engineering (KP0109S) You must choose one or the other because each is a separate major within the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, and there is no major called “electrical and computer” engineering.

Test score appears OK as long as math is good. Hard to tell where your GPA may stand but likely you have a good chance. Forget the teachers recs. They don’t want them and no one will read them if sent.

Sorry for the confusion, I did mean electrical engineering. Don’t know what I was thinking.
Thanks for the chance.
And I got a 720 in math (I could have done better) - is that what you meant by good?

The math score is good.

Thanks, hope I get in.
