UIUC Fall or Spring?

<p>I'm a sophomore and my GPA is about a 3.0ish, rather low, for a Sociology major. Should I apply as a transfer at UIUC for Fall 08 or for their Spring 09 semester? </p>

<p>I'm worried because my GPA is mediocre and I just want to attend the best university I can. I was thinking staying at my current university for fall of my junior year to get a competitive GPA - probably around a 3.4ish.</p>

<p>Check with UIUC to see what they’ll accept from you. I don’t think they take anything over 60 credit hours. But thats for the CBA.</p>

<p>Their transfer guide say they do accept transfers with more than 60 credits for their LAS.</p>
