I am a junior this year majoring in Finance. Im graduating next December, and was going to throw out my stats to see what banks you guys think I could try getting an internship to.

Cum GPA - 3.3
Work Experience/ec's
2007-2010: daycare teacher,
summer '11: Reimbursement analyst for Hospital
Social Chair of frat
member of few clubs.

Any advice on banks I should apply too would be great!

All of them.
Here’s a list of places to start. Look at the regional boutiques on this list.
The prestigious boutiques and bbs are out of the question for you.

To be blunt though, you don’t have a whole lot going for you. Your best bet is to develop relationships with people, learn as much as possible and convince someone to take a chance on you.

Start e-mailing/calling alums, hr, people at banks now.

Unfortunately, your school and lack of previous experience will make it incredibly difficult. Your gpa is also below most cut-offs, though people will make an exception if they like you enough.

Looking at your stats I feel that only if you network ferociously now could you potentially position yourself for an internship anywhere, and with your GPA and limited finance experience I would say bulge brackets are out of the question, and perhaps it’d be smarter to start at a regional boutique or a back office position.

Your chances are quite bleak it seems but definitely not impossible. Networking is the key.
