UIUC Grainger or Syracuse iSchool

I am really struggling with making a college decision.
If anyone wants to give their input, I would love to hear it.

Systems Engineering at UIUC

Information Management and Technology/Applied Data Analytics at Syracuse

What’s the struggle. They are two different majors.

Which one is the path you want to follow ?

majors are different sure
career paths, material, are all similar

So Systems Engineering - i.e. Industrial engineering is the same as applied data analytics?

It doesn’t seem so to me.

I’d go to the 'cuse but it’s because I love the campus and I do not like the UIUC campus or surrounds at all. But that’s opinion.

Grainger is highly rated but in these fields you’re going to do well from either.

But I don’t see these two getting you to the same place career wise. They don’t seem the same to me. Even reading about them at the schools - they are not the same.

So perhaps another would be better to answer.

I meant more the information management and technology

just considering the applied data analytics because it would be easier to concentrate on that at the iSchool

OK but industrial engineering is not IS.

Have you been to both? Which do you prefer?

Which can you afford?

I’ll go back to what I originally said and others could chime in because maybe i’m wrong - because these are not the same thing. Your outcome will be different.

systems engineering and information systems can lead to similar career paths
that is why i am struggling with this decision
i can afford both
i have been to both

Which campus do u like better ? They r not the same. Go with gut.

Any majors can lead to Difft paths. But analytics and systems engineering aren’t the same.
