<p>I am considering University of Illinois-UC as possible university to transfer to (currently in a junior college in Georgia). One of the things that attracts me to Urbana, besides the good academics, is that it has the largest Cardinal Newman Center (Catholic) in the U.S.</p>
<p>Could anyone tell me a little more about Catholic life at UIUC? Is it more of a devout or lax community? Are the students more conservative, liberal, moderate or a mix? What kind of activities are available for Catholics at Urbana? Etc.</p>
<p>If there is any current or past Catholic students from Urbana I would love to hear what your experience was with the university & the Newman Center.</p>
<p>Also, to note it is not as the Newman Center would be the be all to end all deciding point for me, but it is nice to have a religious home to come home to being so far away from my actual home.</p>
