I got in at UIUC - computer science and CMU-Electrical and computer engineering. But waitlisted at CMU-Computer Science.
If I go to CMU, I can probably double major in CS and ECE.
What do you ppl suggest?
Thanks

i got into cmu and will probably go there. you should go there too.
yayyy

Bump...........

CMU if you can afford it.

waiting for financial aid...... hope to get it by next week.....

till then keep posting your views on this..... it will make my college decision easier.....

I may be tired but what is CMU? U of I has one of the top programs in CS with a brand new facility. Don't discount it because it's a state school.

CMU is carnegie mellon u.
but whats UIUC?

CMU - Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh
UIUC - University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

UIUC is probably the second best public for engineering.

CMU has probably the top computer science program in the country.

You can't really go wrong with any of these.

But I will have to double major (unless I get off the waitlist. probability for that is much less). Doing double major will be rigorous.... isn't it?

Bump.......

Double major in what? CS and EE? Wow good luck. Maybe a CS minor but double major? I'm not sure. I think there was another forum on this.

Many ppl do it!

Double majoring isnt that hard to do if you knocked out a bunch of prerequisites while you were still in High School

Yeah I did in the liberal arts (english and history) and not even one hour or class for math or science. Ugh I hate feeling behind everyone else even though I'm right on schedule according to my major.

Bump..... anyone else?
