I know this question has been asked multiple times but I am super confused between Georgia Tech and UIUC ( computer engineering major).
I know UIUC is ranked higher and all but I need to make a decision taking into account every aspect of these colleges...Please help me by giving me your valuable suggestions.

UIUC is less stressful from what I have read. What about cost? Which one is better financially?

Georgia tech will set me back for 38 k whereas UIUC will set me back for 46 k

Both are excellent for engineering both for education and job opportunities after college. The differences are really in other things. Gtech is mostly engineering and science, has a male to female ratio of about 4 to 1, and a rather stark campus. It is in heart of Atlanta, a vibrant, large city, giving access to lots of nightlife and activities and weather is mostly warm with only a short winter. Outside of Atlanta, lots of mountainous areas and good places to just to see and go hiking.

UIUC has multiple colleges, is only about 20% engineering, with an even male to female ratio. Its campus is more impressive than Gtech. It is in fairly small, unimpressive cities, Champaign and Urbana, with a total population of under 100,000. Most night life centers around campus and an areas nearby. Area is flat, seeing even a small hill is a rare event. Outside of the cities is nothing but woods, farmland, and tiny towns for 50 miles in any direction. Winter is long and brutal with potential for a lot of snow and many days in the teens or single digits and even a few below zero Fahrenheit.
