UIUC or Indiana?

So I'm split between these two schools..
Indiana has offered me 16,000 and I'm still waiting to hear from Illinois (even though I surmise that I won't receive much $$)

I'm planning to study either Linguistics or East Asian Studies..
Which school has a better atmosphere?
Which school should I choose??

The cheaper one.

yea the cheaper one. Apart from Engineering and Business, I don't think UIUC is so much better than other less ranked Big ten schools

Indiana- I think it offers a great college experience and a gorgeous campus.

If I had the same financial offer from both, I'd take Indiana. I like the town and the campus; you've got all the perks of a Big Ten school plus a music program that rivals the top conservatories in the country. Princeton Review's student sample rated campus life at Indiana an A- and at UIUC a C+.

I would take Indiana for sure

Actually UIUC has a fantastic Music School also. However most of the Social Life revolves around the Greek System, which is the largest in the US at UIUC.

I'm a big fan of U of I, but that being said, debt is a no-no. Fiske also lists languages as a top program at IU.

However, one question remains... are you a resident of either state? If you are an Illinoisan, friends don't let friends go to Indiana ;) haha.

Thanks everyone.
Unfortunately, looks like I won't be able to attend UIUC..
They only offered me loans.. :/
