UIUC or UW-Madison for Computer Engineering

Hello Everyone,

I have been accepted in UW-Madison for Computer Engineering. I have also been accepted at UIUC, but in General, so not specifically in any field. Which means I have to compete to get into computer engineering in UIUC for next year.

I want to go to UW-Madison primarily considering it's cheaper than UIUC.

So, should I go to UIUC or UW-Madison for computer engineering?

Go to UW-Madison.

Companies that recruit at UW for CE. Pretty good.

You have been accepted at UW in no special field, all admissions are for the whole school, not a specific college- this means you don't need to know your major and can change majors without worrying about losing your admission. Consider all of the nonacademic factors as well as the ones in your major. The differences in costs may not justify the extra money spent. Also consider the campus- UW wins by a landslide. Save your money, get a good education, and be a Badger.
