Hi everyone,

I have already taken Calculus 3 at my high school, and I want to take the proficiency test for Math 241 at UIUC. How hard is it to get a 70% on the test? Also, how do I register for the test? Additionally, do I need to take it before my summer registration date?

Thanks in advance!

Well, I scored a 50% after taking pre calc my senior year without any trouble. You can take it multiple times, I think it’s $2.50 for each one after the first, which is free.

Here’s the site with everything you need, including the exam - [ALEKS | Mathematics Courses | Illinois](ALEKS PPL Mathematics Assessment Exam | Mathematics at Illinois)

Take it ASAP, just get it out of the way. It’s not difficult.

I’ve already scores a 93 on the ALEKS placement test, I meant the proficiency tests described on the math department’s page.

[Mathematics Placement and Proficiency, Undergraduate Program in Mathematics, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign](Mathematics Proficiency Examinations | Mathematics at Illinois)

Does anyone have any information about it?

Oh, sorry, I’m not that smart. Never even heard of testing out of calc 3. Best of luck!
