My D was offered Systems Engineering and Design instead of her first choice of CS in engineering school and 2nd choice of CS and Math in LAS. How is this program?
What are her chances of getting into CS if she decides to transfer down the road?
Any opinions? She is deciding between this program, Purdue CS and may be even CS in local college (SJSU). We are OOS.
If your daughter wants CS she should go to Purdue (or another school with CS). Purdue has a very good CS program.
Transferring to CS at Illinois is very difficult and not guaranteed.
yeah go to Purdue or SJSU, UIUC CS is amazing but transferring in is almost impossible
If CS is her desired degree, Purdue is a great school for it and probably less expensive for OOS than UIUC as well.
