OKAY, SO UIUC mostly bases it admissions on scores and stuff. So PLEASE chance me on the basis of these objective stats. Thank you. :D

OBJECTIVE:
SAT: CR 730, Math 690, Writing 690 = 2110 (Math and CR=1420)
SAT II: Math II 780
High School Academic Record:
Grade 9: 88%
Grade 10: 94% (Board Exams)
Grade 11: 91%
Grade 12: 90%
Class rank: Top 5%
Country: India (International applicant)
Applying for aid: No.

Do you think I'll get in?!

I'll post my decision tomorrow. Let's see how many of you can get it right!

As an Illinois applicant majoring in liberal arts, you’d probably get in with those stats.

As an Illinois applicant majoring in engineering, you’d might get in with those stats, but it’s borderline.

As an international applicant majoring in liberal arts, you’d might get in with those stats, but it’s borderline.

As an international applicant majoring in engineering, you probably won’t get in with those stats – there are almost certainly more Asian engineering applicants with better stats than UIUC has room for.

Hey!
As an Engineering applicant, your gender will matter. If you’re F, you’re IN. If you’re M, it’s harder to predict, but I think you have a very strong chance of getting accepted.

^^
Not necessarily rejected from UIUC, just not qualified for the international (male) student cutoff for the School of Engineering. Question 16 of the UIUC application states: “You will be considered for other related majors, including undeclared in the Division of General Studies, if you are not selected for admission to your first choice.”

So if you get offered admission to the College of Liberal Arts instead, take it, load up on math and science classes, make sure you ace them, and then apply for a transfer into Engineering.

I got admitted into UIUC
But it says admitted under an alternate choice. My college is division of general studies and my program/major are undeclared.
I remember applying for Computer Science.
What does this mean ?
