<p>Are you applying as a transfer, or as a freshman?</p>
<p>If you can’t afford your ED school, just email them, tell them thanks but you aren’t coming after all, and take a gap semester while you re-make your application list. That way you will be a freshman applicant rather than a transfer.</p>
<p>I’m applying as a transfer. UIUC accepts spring semester freshman to transfer in.</p>
<p>I don’t want to be a semester behind if I take a gap semester though. </p>
<p>I was also wondering if transfers are offered a place in CGS if they do not get accepted to their program of choice</p>
