UIUC Transfers 2013

Anyone applied or planning to apply to UIUC as a transfer this fall 2013.

Yep I just sent in my application.
What school are you applying to? I applied into LAS

oh that’s good. I’m applying to college of business. Good luck!!!

Applied to transfer to college of engineering for the fall! Any idea when we’ll be notified if we met the transfer priority deadline? I’d hate to have to wait until mid-April… Plus, I’d like to get a head start on apartment hunting.

That’s good Donny91. I’m not sure about when priority transfer applicants will get their decisions, but i think its the same for regular transfer applicants because there’s only one specified date for decisions on their website. I don’t want to wait that long too. You can email them though just to be sure.

I applied to Urbana around the Dec 15th, and they had all of my applications materials in by Dec 20th. I got accepted on the 15th of January to LAS. Im just waiting on a scholarship/financial aid letter, I dont know what U of I will cost me yet. Where else did you guys apply?

-donny91, my application was priority because i had it complete so early, they got back to me within four weeks.

Congratulations Syyan4!!! What are you stats?

Yeah Congrats Syyan, I would also like to know your stats since I applied into the LAS as well.

Hey! I got accepted priority so I can help you guys out! I got in Electrical Engineering:)

congratulations quiverfox!! what are your stats?

Got accepted yesterday, right after finding out I was accepted to Michigan. Michigan was my first choice (not to mention in-state), but getting two acceptances in a row is still a great feeling :D. Stats are in the University of Michigan transfer thread if anyone’s interested.

1950 SAT and 106 Toefl…Not too good at EC’s, high GPA(3.8-4), Asian in Asia and a wannabe scientist:)

oh you got in as a freshman. i thought you were accepted as a transfer.

I applied as a transfer, too! For fall 2013. Met the priority deadline, THANK GOD. I have 15 hours from first semester and taking 17 this semester.

My stats are great when looking at college progress but high school ACT was kinda low (24) With a high GPA 4.8/5. Soooooo… I am worried because they look at your High School records if you are under 30 college credit hours.

:( :frowning:

College stats : GPA : 3.57 (2 Bs, 2As, 1 Pass) , Hard classes.

I put myself for

 1. LAS , communications
 2. General Studies

Sorry:)) This is sooo long hah. Any thoughts???

@ifitasova2156, the bad news is that they are going to look at your act score because you applied with less than 30 transferable credit hours, but the good news is your gpa from both high school and college together with your extra-curricular activities should be enough to get you into LAS, communications.

Applied for ACES: Consumer Econ and Finance, ACES: Environment Econ and Policy, and LAS: Econ.
Met priority deadlines, and I’m in state. Only have 17 credit hours so far with a 3.4 from a fairly rigorous university. I decided to take a lot of tough classes this semester to try and fill all the transfer requirements that they want for incoming juniors for those majors so I hope that helps. Was denied as a freshman, so that worries me a bit though. Hopefully my SAT score that I get back on the 14th is good. I read on their blog that as long as you meet the minimum GPA requirement and you have the prereq classes then you will be admitted, besides business or engineering which are very competitive.

Wait, are you applying as a sophomore transfer or a junior transfer?

Sophomore. I will have 42 hrs including summer classes before I start next semester

O okay, I applied as a Sophomore as well. My major was MCB in the school of LAS and I have a 3.1 GPA from also a rigorous school. After summer classes Ill have a total of 40 hours so I think we’ll be in the same boat. When did you send in your application?

I applied on the 31st of January, hopefully we don’t have to wait till Mid-April.
I’m going to call the admissions office on Monday. I suspect they’re pretty busy with getting all the Freshman admits in at the moment though
