Did you call them or they emailed to you?

I actually saw it between classes, was randomly checking the app on my phone and saw it.

uofiapplicant, That’s great news. Congrats! I just checked my application status, but no decision yet so hopefully within the next few days.

I’m sure this must be a big relief for you…See you in the fall!! Goodluck to everyone still waiting for their decisions.

I am so happy for everyone who got admitted :)

Someone asked what year we are,

Im going to be a sophomore!

When can we start registering for classes? I think i saw mid april somewhere…

I’m also going in as a sophomore.
Just have to focus and keep my current grades up!
Probably going to schedule a visit soon, even though I took a tour in HS.
I know they don’t offer dorms for transfers (or it’s really hard) so I’m going to start looking into apartments soon

I just found out today that I got accepted! I hope everyone else will get their decisions soon so that we all can celebrate together

lfitasova2159, an admission counselor told me that you can start registering for classes at the end of April.

Is anyone thinking of the Transfer Cluster housing at Hopkins hall?

Uofidreamer, congratulations! What college and what major, and I am going to assume you will be entering as a sophomore?

I am getting very anxious hearing about these acceptances! I applied to the college of engineering for CE, but I still haven’t received my decision. Checking my application status is starting to become second nature. UIUC is my first choice, so I am hoping for some good news soon.

Roybot, try to remain positive and don’t be too anxious. Wishing you all the best!!

Roybot, thanks! I’m actually a junior transfer. I’m majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology in LAS and I’m also doing Pre-Med.

I heard that for the College of Engineering, they tend to wait till most of the students have submitted the applications before they start reviewing them, so maybe that’s why you haven’t heard from them yet. But as gracefavors said, stay positive I’m crossing my fingers for you!

Gracefavors, thank you! I was considering the Transfer Cluster cause it’s in the six pack so it’s a pretty fun and social place, but since I’m a junior, it would be weird for me to live with mostly freshmen. Instead, I’ll be living in an apartment. Although I have a friend who lives at Hopkins now (that’s where the Cluster is) and she loves it!

UofIdreamer, i totally understand you; i’m also transferring as a junior, but i think the transfer cluster is good way to settle on a big campus.

Oh yes, definitely! I’m lucky enough that I have friends there already to help me transition; otherwise, I would probably dorm as well since it’s the easiest way to meet new people and find out about the campus.

uofiapplicant, seriously? No regular dorms for transfers? I wanted to live in a dorm but I haven’t looked into how it works yet…

Gracefavors, ^^ read that. I might now I guesss.

Uofidreamer, just because transfer cluster is in six pack is kind of throwing me off since it is for freshman mostly.

I didn’t think I would have a trouble figuring out my living situation. I honestly was just looking into resenting in a normal dorm since I have never lived in an apartment before. Dorms are nice because they’re so close to classes, at least mine is right now.

Any comments? :)

There are some dorms for transfers, but I believe they are pretty limited.
Much cheaper to find an apt off campus anyways

ifitasova2159, there’s a new hall opening this fall 2013 semester for upperclassmen. Its called Bousfield hall. It looks pretty decent. You can check it out [About | University Housing at Illinois](http://www.housing.illinois.edu/Current/Halls/Bousfield/About.aspx)

gracefavors, I am going to be a sophomore and you said upperclassmen.

uofiapplicant, thanks !

Ifitasova2159, i totally forgot. Sorry about that.
