I hope so. Now that they’re done with freshman applications they’ll have more time to start focusing on transfer apps.
One of my friends transferred there this semester. I was talking to her last night and I told her to go down to admissions and tell them to hurry up…lol
She said she’d break in there at 3 am and put my application on the top of their desk. :stuckouttonguewinkingeye:
I just applied yesterday and sent in all of my docs…is it going to really hurt me that i didn’t meet the priority deadline??
Here are my stats, what do you think are my chances?
I’ll be transferring from University of Wisconsin- Madison
Stats:
HS GPA- 3.6 UW
College GPA- 3.1
ACT- 29
**Graduated hs a semester early
College activities:
Sorority (judicial board member, one executive position, and philanthropy committee), IMA, Finance & Investment Society, DECA, Student Health Organization, Multicultural Business Association, Asian Bus & Econ Association
*Also have an accounting internship
I am a sophomore, though i started college last spring (due to graduating early), so I SHOULD be a freshman. I’ve earned 52 cr. and i’m applying as an accounting major
It’s a bit hard to say. The accounting program at UIUC is one of the more selective programs. I believe their minimum required GPA is 3.0…which unfortunately puts you near the bottom of the range of applicants. Since you’ve earned 52 college credits, a good amount of weight is going to be put on those college credits. The internship will help, and you have a lot of relevant ECs.
I’ve been keeping up on this forum, but finally made an account to let you know I was accepted today. I applied as a a Junior transfer to LAS and applied February 1st! Good Luck!
Congrats!
And wow that was fast!
Did it say that on your app when you went back and signed in? I’m just curious to find out how you know you’re accepted.
Gotcha.
Well, I’ve been getting more and more anxious aha. I applied for priority and thought I’d be one of the first to know. Hopefully soon. Tomorrow would be fitting haha
