UIUC Transfers for Fall 2015

@acro2015 Hi! I got my acceptance (applied to College of Business) about three weeks ago and I submitted my application on Feb. 15th. Hope you hear back soon!

@PitLV2109 - I’ve been checking on the actual application site every day, so I definitely haven’t heard anything yet.

I’m assuming that mid-April means about April 17th, so I figure there’s a 1/12 chance that I’ll hear back tomorrow. The next day it’ll be a 1/11 chance, etc…lol

Although I guess some people have gotten decisions on weekends too.

@tayraysay If you don’t mind asking what were your stats and what major did you apply as?- Thank you and congrats on being accepted.

Still nothing here… At least it’s April!

@IlliniAccountant‌ Thanks! :slight_smile:
Stats:
College/Major: College of Business/Finance
College GPA: 4.0 (about 67 hours completed)
School: OOS community college
HS GPA: 2.8 to 3.3? Not exactly sure, but it was very low.
Additional Info: A few internships, extensive volunteering, and work experience for 6 mo.

Hope you hear back soon! Good luck!!

@tayraysay thank you!! i applied around the same time and haven’t heard back, but I also had to submit a syllabus for every single course i’ve taken in college :frowning: i’m getting very nervous though!

@acro2015‌ Ah I had to do that too! I was scrambling to find old syllabi haha. Hopefully you hear back soon!

That sounds like a pain. I considered applying to the University of Pennsylvania, but they would have wanted not only syllabi from all of my classes, but also copies of all of my lab procedures and lab reports from my physics and chemistry classes. I still have them all somewhere or another…but they’re scattered around and I totally did not feel like getting them all together. That’s asking a bit much IMO. But I suppose they need a way to weed out the people that aren’t really serious. And it worked, because I wasn’t all that serious about wanting to go to Penn. It was more of a backup plan for UIUC than anything else, as unconventional as it may be to consider an Ivy a fallback plan in case of being denied at the state flagship.

Still no decision for me yet…looks like mid April is set in stone and they are not releasing decisions any sooner.

Nothing here yet either. I’m taking next Friday to be mid-April. That means there’s a 1/8 chance of hearing tomorrow lol

I guess I was wrong lol! Accepted to the College of Media Fall 2015!!! Could not be more excited!!!

Congrats! That’s awesome!

Hi everyone! I haven’t commented on this yet, but it is refreshing to see I am not the only one that has not heard from UIUC yet. I applied to the College of Business back in January. I go to a community college and am hoping to major in Marketing. I only have a 3.63, so I know getting into the school of business is a long shot. However, I also applied in Advertising in the School of Media (they basically have most of the same required prerequisite classes) so hopefully I can get accepted into one of these schools. UIUC is my dream school and I haven’t stopped freaking out since I submitted my application. Hopefully next week we will all find out? Best of luck to everyone and hopefully we can attend together next semester!

Got accepted to electrical engineering. Starting from sophomore.
Just received it today morning

@Manunited0901 Did you receive an email confirmation first?

Today morning I got a email saying ’ ur decision is waiting. Log in to ur myilli account.’

Where are you transferring from and what are your “stats”? If you don’t mind giving them.

Is there something like a “guaranteed spots” for CS of CoE? Like certain GPA. I know it’s not official but

Well it’s now officially the end of the week, and still no word here. I feel like this has been the longest wait of my life. It is definitely going to be next week though. I’m ready to finally get a freakin’ decision! lol

Has Illinois ever released decision on Saturdays?
