UIUC Transfers for Fall 2016

Still waiting

So I haven’t heard a reply from UIUC yet…I applied for business and DGS as my second major. I’m guessing it’s taking a long time because the business school rejected me and DGS is looking over my application?

Is it possible for business applicants to still get accepted this late?

@geekup I applied to business as first choice and Econ as second. I was declined for business but got into Econ! It took me 3 days to get the email, but it was already at myillini so fingers crossed you got into your second option

So on myillini, my status has changed from complete, to nothing at all. What does this mean? It will tell me if I am denied, won’t it???

@1548332 did you ever get it figured out?

@geekup my son just got accepted into his first choice, CS at about 4:30pm. You still might get your first choice. Good luck

Is anyone still waiting??

@geekup I am, I applied priority for Civil engineering and nothing yet :frowning:

Still waiting, I applied priority for CS and Stat+CS…

I got denied today :frowning: Applied to CS from a Illinois CC. Had 3.76 GPA but only had 36 credits “completed” at the time of application, which is the reason I’m guessing.

I’ll apply again next semester when I have more credits done.

I was denied for both my majors too. Business is was too competitive so it made sense and DGS because I had too many credits…they let me appeal the decision for economics which I think I have a solid shot at. You should appeal for math/CS or Stats/CS and try to transfer to CS from there!

@geekup You should call them and ask why you were denied, and they’ll give you the reasons. I called them and they said, I had too many classes in progress, and yet to be taken, so they can’t assess me. But they said I was on the right track.

Unfortunately they don’t offer appeal for CS, because its closed now. So my only chance is apply again next semester, when I actually have more courses completed.

What sucks is i have 43 Credits completed and 5 in progress that are major classes, i have 3.5 GPA for Civil engineering all my friends got rejected a month ago but im the last one standing lol

@Medo961 Where are you applying from? I think 3.5 GPA would be fine for civil engineering as long as you complete all the pre reqs.

After this semester i will only be needing 1 class which is dynamics to be considered a junior.

@QuantumObserver That’s what I did, they said my gpa wasn’t on par with the rest of the applicants for business and I had too many credits for DGS. So I appealed for economics and I’m hoping to hear back in a week.

I’m still waiting for decision…unbelievable…

Same here …

Have you guys called them? Last year a prospective student called them and found out that they were waiting to see spring transcripts. They didn’t even bother to notify them

For those who applied to CS ENG, only junior standing students (by the time you enroll at UIUC) are eligible to be considered. Also, completing all required courses and having 3.8+ GPA are almost a must.
