Hello, I have been admitted to the following colleges’ engineering programs except UIUC. I have to choose one by May 1st, but I still have no idea where should I go. My first choice was UIUC engineering but got rejected. Still, there are possibilities I can transfer to the engineering department, but it seems very challenging. Purdue looks good, but its overall US ranking is relatively lower than those of NYU and Penn state. If you were me, where would you go? Since I am also interested in law, not sure I will be a straight engineer after college.
Thank you!!!
I am a graduate of NYU Poly and would not recommend it. You will not get traditional college experience. It is like a commuter school. Penn State has good engineering programs and so does Purdue. They may not be at the same level as Urbana, but very good none the less.
Is cost a concern?
Uiuc is out since odds are low you’d get your major.
What is net cost at each ? (tuition, room, board) - (scholarships and grants ) do not subtract any loans.
