UIUC vs GT for EE + Physics + minor math?

Hi everyone. I'm having a hard time choosing between UIUC and Georgia Tech for double majoring EE and physics with a math minor. So what I'm considering are:

I'm an oos to both schools so the cost for attending both schools is nearly same.

The EE ranking of Gatech is #4 this year which is higher than UIUC's #5. (well UIUC was always better than Gatech on EE..)

UIUC wins Gatech on Physics and Math by a mile.

Atlanta is more convenient than Champaign since it's a big city. (I guess? And how about intern?)

UIUC provides proficiency examinations which are really attractive to me.

Any suggestions? I've done a lot of researches on UIUC but none on Gatech...

academically, your analysis is spot on. uiuc has an edge.

the major difference is the campus feel and location. if you like smaller, more rural city then go with uiuc. Atlanta is big, bit too hot and muggy for my taste. but it does have more options.

ga t is also more techy in terms of campus crowd. uiuc is broader, which you might find it appealing.

How would you compare the undergraduate research opportunities at the ECE
departments of UIUC and GT? How about summer internships? It’s true that that
UIUC doesn’t have companies around it, but don’t recruiters come to campus?
In what sense then does Atlanta have more options?

Thanks a lot!

I haven’t gone that far actually >_<
The internships thing is what I’m really curious about.
Well, personally I love UIUC more because of its weather; I don’t like places that are too hot. I also put orchestra in consideration.

I think I could find out more about GT after attending their “Meet and Greet .”

@hermestai8550: I would love to hear your feedback after the “Meet and Greet”

@itsme123: Will you please spare some time to answer my previous question?

Thanks very much
