UIUC vs. MSU

I know these threads are popping up all over, but I'm just looking for some input here...

I am instate for MSU, but if UIUC is gonna offer me more oppertunities, then it'll prolly be worth the money...

I'm majoring in Urban Planning (weird, i know) and both schools offer an accredited undergrad planning degree.

I guess what is important to me is social life, cool town, grad placement, and those sorts of things.

bump... anyone?

I should clarify, too- MSU: Michigan State, UIUC: University of Illinois in Chambana

I've been on both campuses numerous times, and neither of them are in a "cool town". Both are in kind of crappy towns if you ask me. I think UIUC is more regarded in most areas, but probably isnt worth paying OOS tuition for unless you're going into engineering, which you aren't.

I agree with CBF17. And urban planning is not weird. I started out in it before moving to the "other side" in commercial real estate.
