UIUC vs. PennState

I got accepted in these two schools. And I want to study either chem or bio and planning to go to med-school.
I know UIUC is ranked higher than PennState overall, but UIUC is more well known in engineerning and business. I definitely going to be pre-med and I just wonder which school is better to go to med school.

so, where does everyone suggest i lean towards? i posted a similar post in PennState forum so that i could see perspectives from each side.

Thanks in advance,

go to penn state. UIUC basically doesn't even have a med. school.

hmm.. thanks for your advice~ :)

anybody else?

F**k Penn State!.......sorry still recovering from the bball game

UIUC does have a med school, but it is in Chicago thru UIC

well.. i dont really planning to go to either uiuc or pennstate for my med-school,
but which school has better reputaion in undergraduate science program such as, chemistry, or biology. so that i will have better chance to go to top med school like Harvard, or JHU.

i know that GPA and mcat are very important factors, but let's say i can get 3.9+ in both school...

uiuc prob has a better core science program from what i have heard.

yea, if you meant science then do UIUC

The University of Illinois as a whole has a good medical program. The med school is centrally located around 4 hospitals: Cook County, Rush, the VA Hospital and U of I Medical Center. I think U of I has a transfer program to U of I in Chicago for Medical School. They are linked.

There are other medical schools in Rockford and Peoria that the University of Illinois has

How would you rank science program in both universities? Specifically Physics program.
the reason I'm asking is I got in to uiuc already and hopefully will be admitted to PS too.
