UK 1st year - Transfer from Top college possible??

Hey all,

I am currently taking Exams but if they go well I will be at a Top 10 UK College in September.

Does anyone have any experience of Transfers from the UK to Top Ivy Leagues, to read Computer Science? I understand I would have to take some SAT's but do not understand if my credit would be transfered over?

Any help or any advice whatsoever would be appreciated.

If you know of anyone doing this that would be great too?

It should be possible but you would be better off re-applying as a first-year student in my opinion.

Ah I see anymore advice is welcome.

I was educated in the US, spent one year at a top-3 university in the UK and found transferring difficult, but possible (I ended up transferring to a lower-tier school in the US and then to Penn, but maybe your grades are better than mine).

I in terms of GPA conversion I am on all A/As (A is 80% and A is 90%) and assuming I get my grades, then my GPA for my Academic Career would probably around 3.8 I guess.

Maybe it’s doable; I’m not the best judge. I’ve heard of at least one student who transferred from the UK (Univ. of St Andrews) directly to Penn; no doubt, there are more.
