I am really worried right now. It seems that now you can't stay in the UK for your residency (even if you want to live there) as of April 2012.

UK med school is my dream :/

Probably not realistic for an international student (I'm from Canada) but oh well :D

So any thoughts on if this is true or if there are any ways to get around it or if its even worth worrying about because I probably won't get accepted straight from high school anyway?

I know quite a few Canadians who are doing medicine via St Andrews, perhaps checking their website would give you contact info for someone who can explain how things work?

St. Andrews is for people who want to come back to Canada and it is extremely expensive. Do you know of any programs that allow people to stay in the UK?

Oh, sorry, I did not understand you were trying to immigrate to the UK, it would be extremely hard to base any future possibilities based on past rules as the rules have been changing quite a bit for the past several years. The kids I know went there about 7 years ago and are still there.

The people there may still know the rules about how you could stay. Check out UK resident immigration forums as a good place to ask questions.

Sorry I should have been more specific. It seems things have been changing a lot lately :/
