The Pakastani authorities were also intimately involved.

This sucks because I'm in Berlin right now and will need to fly back to the States from London in late August. Gahhh, even longer lines at airports, although I definitely don't object to the extra security precautions...

Ugh. This incident affected a number of people at the summer program I was in. Many of them had to leave the program a couple of hours earlier than the checkout time today, and the schedule was pretty messed up. They left a lot of their usable liquids for other people who weren't flying home.

thank god they stopped in, im going to england for college september 25th this kinda of shocked me but we live in a world today that it is just not safe.

no waterbottles are okay, at least on planes they'll give you water when you ask (normally?)

my only thing is the no electronics on some flights (all flights out of britain-no carry on's except for plastic bag and i think out of taiwan, thats what it looked like on the news). i gotta fly out of taiwan in about 2 weeks and so sob if theres no electronics. no music, no movie, and 13 hours of non-aisle seat misery. sigh
