<p>hey anyone from the uk..im thinking of applyin to some American unis next year or so, buti'm rather confused about the whole process. Where can we take the SAT's..and i've looked at some application forms and they talk about GPA's and the such - i don't even know what they are?</p>

<p>You can take the SAT's in England for sure. They have a list of offered locations internationally at <a href="http://www.collegeboard.com%5B/url%5D">www.collegeboard.com</a> specifically here <a href="http://apps.collegeboard.com/cbsearch_code/codeSearchSatTest.jsp%5B/url%5D">http://apps.collegeboard.com/cbsearch_code/codeSearchSatTest.jsp</a></p>
<p>That will tell you which days tests are offered where. </p>
<p>GPA is grade point average. US grades are generally A-4 and done on a 4.0 or 100% scale. What program are you doing? A levels. There should be some form of conversion, if not the universities can figure out your grades from the school report your school would send. </p>
