UK Universities - advice for an anglophile

<p>have to say Oxford and Cambridge are nearly impossible to get into for nething but obscure subjects for north americans. My school has had 5 ppl apply the last 3 years and all were rejected. Here is where they went:</p>

<p>It's strange because i have one friend( not really my firend he was classmates) who was reject from the ivies but got on cambridge .when i was an exchange student in europe i remeber my teachers saying that they don't like the american high school .. according to them it's too weak and way too easy to get A+.Maybe they(uk universities) consider the american education(high school) too poor and less prestigious them others.
i myself did one semester in the USA and got only A+ exept english C+. and my average in brasil is B</p>
