Cornell is consistently ranked as the lowest IVY on USNEWS report. However, I have the viewbook and the place is simply gorgeous. Now, Dartmouth is a better filler school to get into top grad schools according to WSJ, but what does Cornell have? BOth have world class dorms and food. Both have outstanding education. But, which school is ultimately greater?

Cornell is def better if you are studying science or engineering. Also, there is nothing to do in Hanover, but Ithaca is filled with stuff catered for 30,000 students.

Devil May Cry, Cornell wasn't ranked as the lowest ranked Ivy last year on US News and World Report. Last year, Brown was the lowest ranked Ivy at number 17 for national universities. As for the battle between Cornell and Dartmouth, I can't say which school is better because I love them both.

You make it sound like Dartmouth is the pits when it comes to science and engineering. That is definately not true. The small setting of the school allows for ample research opportunities and hands on experience.

I'm guessing the reason why Dartmouth is considered a "better filler school" for top grad schools is because most students go to grad schools after a liberal arts education. Cornell is more of a pre-professional school, with its strong engineering school and hotel management school. It all depends on what you want, but both schools offer a top notch education in a similiar setting.

the college of arts and science is a great feeder into law schools. i'm either going to be a history or goverment major in CAS and i plan on going to law school.
