UM acceptance rate

I was recently accepted to UM (University of Miami) and in the acceptance letter they said they only chose 2,000 kids out of 32,600 who applied. I’m not a gifted mathematician but that’s only 6% which is about the same as Harvard. Is this accurate? because it says on Google their acceptance rate is normally between 38% and 44%. Does anyone else’s acceptance letter say this?

Thanks!

They admit more(around 11,000), they usually expect around 2000 to enroll

At the tour I attended this week, they said they had ~33K applicants for 2025 open spots in the entire university.

Thats how they word it, which is true, but they have to admit well over that 2000 number because not everyone admitted enrolls
