UM Ann Arbor, UNC Chapel Hill, University of Virginia

From what I have found UM, UNC, and UV are almost identical. So if I'm in-state for Michigan, should I even apply to the other schools. I think I would have a much better chance getting into UM and it would be much cheaper to attend but I'm not positive and would like to hear what you think. Thanks for any replies.

Really? No opinions?

Well, UNC’s OOS acceptance rate is 20%. The tuition would be double.
As a NC HS student, UNC is where I would like to go.

UNC is like getting into Cornell for out of state students; it is much more competitive. UVA is also much more competitive for OOS applicants but probably a bit less do than UNC.

UNC OOS acceptance is lower that 20% - they can only enroll 18% OOS students - including recruited athletes - I think the acceptance rate is more like 6%.

Michigan is MUCH easier admit than UVa. No comparison at all. If Mich. is a reach, UVa is probably not an option unless you have an incredible hook. But, you can try early. Worth a shot!
