Um..does ART HISTORY count as a CORE SUBJECT?

<p>I need two recommendation letters from teachers "who have taught you in core academic subjects." My English teacher is going to write an amazing one for me, but for the second recommendation, I'm thinking of asking my AP Art History teacher (she thinks extremely highly of me, plus I did very well in her class). I'm just not sure if Art History counts as a core subject...even though I did take it as a social studies course. </p>

<p>thoughts? </p>

<p>(I can always ask my AP Physics or AP Calc teacher instead; the recommendations would be good, but not as glowing as from my AP Art History teacher.)</p>

<p>Art History is a little close to English. Math or Science would be better. Shows you can handle more than reading/writing.</p>
