Um....embarrassing error?

So I submitted a supplement to a uni and I found a spelling mistake after the fact. I spelled "Hawthorne" like "Hawthorn." I feel like a complete idiot, so don't call me one lol. It's to a highly selective uni, though not an ivy, and I'm wondering whether I should email them and apologize. Honest opinions?

that’s a mistake that might go unnoticed; I would not call attention to it by sending an email in any event- I think that would look worse.

They’ll see it, possibly. But also remember that these admission officers go through thousands of applications, so nitpicking isn’t something they do too much. If it’s a consistent, glaring mistake, then yes, you’ll be scrutinized.

It was mentioned once. Thanks for the answers!!!
