I chose a fancy word because it IS my favorite word. And no, I don't think they'll think I'm pretentious because I chose some pretty immature-ish things for my favorite movie, quote, etc. LOL.

^ Spiffy, I was talking about those who really chose some archaic, esoteric word just to look fancy. If it really is your favorite word, by all means, go ahead. :)

I had "iridescent" at first, but changed it to a word which always makes me laugh and...which I won't reveal till the deadline.

Same, Sheerblue! I had flabbergast and bungalow as possibles, but after a little thought I remembered my all-time favorite word. :)

I said "Yare", b/c it was an often-repeated line from this year's play ("The Philadelphia Story") that, for whatever reason, made the entire drama club crack up when it was said. We try to use it as much as we can in everyday speech.

I explained that in the box, so they wouldn't think I was some kind of pompous a**.

I changed my word...and I'm happy with the new one. Will post after deadline.

Mine's in Spanish. :)

lol, same here Mr. Pretzel (both a little protective huh?)

and signal2, i totally agree with you.

ELorax, that's clever idea. good thinking.

Preposition.

fubar.....

I put a word that sounds really good on the tongue.

My second favorite word is EARNEST

Idiosyncrasy

my actual word?

id

Mine's in Italian.

ECLECTIC! It feels good on my tonuge; eclectic, eclectic, eclectic.
Its really hard to type fast though,

I put "word" as my favorite word

distraught, as in "I FEEL SO DISTRAUGHT." That word sums up my emotions very well sometimes.

Mine was "however"

whimsical ...doesn't it sound lovely?
