I have narrowed down my college choices to UM and UF but I don’t know where to go. As far as scholorships and financial aid go I will pay about the same at both colleges. I know they are ranked roughly the same as well. So which college would you pick in this instance. I know UF has a better social setting but I want to go to the college that would give me the best academic experiance and career/grad school opportunities afterwards. Which would you choose in this instance and why?
What’s your possible major(s)? That could drive your selection. Academics are about the same at both schools, but each has strengths in certain majors.
@Gator88NE I want to study Finance. I also forgot to mention I was accepted into the UF honors program. I missed the UM deadline to apply for their honors program but I think I can likely get in during my first semester there. My SAT score is a 2140 and I have a 4.0/4.0 weighted GPA and 5.5/6.0 weighted high school GPA.
UF has the better ranked Business school, and it’s particularly strong in Finance (as well as accounting, marketing, Quantitative Analysis, and real estate).
You may want to look into the combine degree:

I have the same question. UM Foote Felliw or UF honors but for computer science. S was accepted at both and also Emory and USC. USC is out because of the cost but UF and UM would both be extremely reasonable because of scholarships. Any advice you can offer is appreciated.
