Website says 4.04 average GPA for new freshman. is this on a 4.0 scale or 5.0 scale?

I thought the average was 4.2?

It's a 4.0 scale, like other colleges.

that average is weighted though, and you have to realize that some schools really inflate their grades. Some student could have a 4.2 and only be ranked in the top 25%. Not that thats bad or anything either. Depending on the state you live in, your curriculum could be easier or harder which contributes to the range of grades.

Yeah, take me as an example. With my GPA, I'm only in the top 40% of my class because my school's so competitive.

What school do you go to Ft. Lauderdale? I'm guesisng Pine Crest, LOL

I wouldn't go too much by that, my sons friend who is a great tester and scored I think close to 2100, but had a lousy GPA around a 3.2 got in, so it's really the holistic approach that they obviously use that got him in.

Nah. American Heritage. People underestimate us all the time. LOL.

Oh,

So you're from Boca. Me too, haha. Welcome to UMiami man!

Nah, wrong again. I go to the Plantation campus. LOL.

Oh, my bad. Nice, nice.
