UM Scholarship

Hey everyone...I was recently admitted to UM class of 2016 CoE..my question is do I have any kind of shot at significant merit/need aid in the form of grants?
1540/2300 SAT
4/447 Class rank at NJ public
Parent income ~50-70k

So do I have a shot? I read an older thread about full rides at UM and I felt like my stats were comparable if not better than the people that got full rides in the past

Your numbers look fine. I hope you aren’t expecting a full ride based only on your numbers though. Is there anything else?

I have decent extra curricular…i’m student body president…I was class representative and class vice president also…also I play baseball and was captain freshman year…for clubs i’m in a bunch and was treasurer of FBLA last year and am president this year

What i’m really asking is…should I expect some kind of decent merit/need aid from Michigan or would that probably just not happen? By significant I mean like greater than ten thousand

I think they’s send out scholarship info to EA admitted students in early Feb.

Oh boy that’s exciting!

There are some sizable merit scholarships. Check here:

Would I have a legitimate shot based on my stats/ecs ?

you have a shot. however, keep in mind that many scholarships are unpredictable crap shoots.

Lol Alrighty well thank you very much…nd that is a good point haha…I just hope I get some money because UMich is as of now my #1
