The law quad is beautiful. Notice anything ususual going on there?

The construction?

Yeah. Too bad, it’s even more beautiful when half of it isn’t being remodeled.

We barely noticed. It was that gorgeous. Too bad they didn’t stick with that architecture (or at least one style) on the rest of the campus. It was very mush-mashy to me, but my son loved it, which is all that matters!

Oh, and you all forgot to tell me about “Hash Bash” on Saturday. That was an unexpected “experience.” Haha.

Osserpusser, I’m glad that you had a fun visit! We went out to dinner in AA on Saturday afternoon and stumbled upon a paper mache parade. It was so surreal that I thought maybe I had participated in Hash Bash without knowing it.

That’s the beauty of Ann Arbor. You never know what you’re going to see!

That’s the beauty of the campus to me. It’s very eclectic. I find campuses full of one pseudo architectural design style a bit too contrived. Michigan feels impressive and real.

Not to mention that the building materials used to construct the law quad are so expensive that when they added to the building they built underground instead of expanding on the existing building. That may just be a rumor, but if it’s true, I’m sure building the rest of campus like that would have been quite a task. :)

^^^Actually the new law South Hall building just south of the quad looks almost identical.

Oh man, I hate seeing all the different architectural styles on buildings next to eachother on Central. It just looks sloppy.

My daughter said she could smell Hash Bash all the way from the Diag to her South Quad dorm!
