hello all,
i was just wondering what your thoughts are on each school from an engineering point of view. i've heard good things about both schools and just want some more opinions.
thanks

There are many UM’s in this country. Can we assume you mean The University of Maryland?

University of Maryland College Park vs University of Maryland Baltimore County?
If that is the comparison (because as an MD resident, UM means Michigan to me) I’d say College Park is better than Baltimore County. CP has some top ranked programs unlike BC. BC has good programs (or so I hear) in life sciences and some engineering, and I hear it’s a good option if you’re pre-pharmacy. Also, if you don’t qualify for some of the big scholarships at CP you can get more money at BC though. However, from an academic and job recruiting standpoint I would say CP is significantly better.

oops i meant maryland, forgot the d.

it seems to me that college park has a wider range of engineering majors and has more “toys” (neutral bouyancy tank, wind tunnel), but i just wanted to know a little more about each college to make a good choice
