i was just wondering, if i get reject from UM but got into UMD and i go to UMD for one year, then, would it be easier for me to transfer to UM if i get really good grades.

Yes (add in characters)

Yes, although if you're an engineer it might be hard to do it in one year because of Ann Arbor's College of Engineering prereqs for transfers: http://www.engin.umich.edu/transferdatabase/universityofmichigan-dearborn/

If you're looking at transferring into LSA you should have no problem as long as you keep your grades up. I'm at Deaborn right now and many people are making this jump next month (2nd semester sophmore year)

what if i want to transfer into Ross? would that be easier too? and what can of GPA do you need?

P.S hey abrams127 do UMD have dorms on Campus? i was kind of confused about this matter. and how many % of students live on Dearborn

"kind" not "can" sorry

Unfortunately Dearborn does not have on-campus housing in any form right now. Plans are on the drawing board to make dorms a reality, but they wouldn't be open for at least four or five years from now I'd guess. If you're curious, more information on dorms and the future of the Dearborn campus can be found in the 2004 master plan at http://www.umd.umich.edu/dept/facil...erplanfiles.htm (section 4 in particular)

There are some relatively low cost apartments nearby and many students rent houses in the area. The university's housing referral service at http://www.umd.umich.edu/support/housing/ can assist you with that
