Jealous of all of you with Chancellor’s scholarships. Did you have particularly strong ECs? Curious as to what makes the difference between Chancellor’s and Dean’s.

Has everyone that has been sent decision letter been accepted to the commonwealth college? My cousin, who lives in the same neighborhood as me, was accepted to the commonwealth college today, but I have not gotten anything back yet. I find it a little odd that decision letters to the same neighborhood would be at different times, unless it has something to do with me not making it into the honors program. I should probably stop worrying though. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

SAT: 2010
GPA: 3.74 unweighted (ALMOST in the top 10% of my class)
$8500 Chancellor’s Scholarship

I was kind of hoping for CommColl too, but I’m just glad that I got accepted right now! (Well, I’m assuming since that my letter doesn’t mention anything about it, I wasn’t accepted/invited to it)

Accepted for Biology. I also got into the CommColl, and got the $2,000 Dean’s scholarship. Does anyone know what gets someone a Chancellor’s scholarship over a Dean’s scholarship? Where are the people who got the higher amounts from? Maybe the Chancellor’s is offered to out-of-state students.

Son was accepted into engineering. No Comm College or scholarships (other than the Adams) that I could see, but we’re very pleased. He’s going to college! Oh, and we’re from Mass.

KaiserinSisi, UMass’ scholarship page groups them all together, so it’s hard to see what difference there could be… Logically, though, OOS students should get higher scholarships than their in-state equivalents since OOS costs more.

accepted to sports management

sat: 1230/1890
act: 26
gpa: 3.82 unweighted
$6000 chancellors
