My son got the “fat envelope” yesterday. Bio/Pre Med Major, Comm. Honors College, 2K Dean’s scholarship. RD applicant, in state resident. It doesn’t look like any in-staters get more than the 2K + Abigail Adams scholarship for MCAS. Anyone from MA who has gotten more than that? Now waiting for most of the other private college decisions. Will definitely go to one of the open houses.

Received my acceptance letter in the mail today for psychology major!
:)

^Are only the in-staters receiving their notifications?

Thought I’d ask mom2winds if she had heard anything further from the music department–or if anyone else applying to the performing arts had heard about acceptance into those specific BFA programs. I called the dept on Monday and all they said was that those decisions had been recently made. I know it’s still early. If no one else has heard, then we’re in the same boat. (I should add that according to their web site, they do give out some talent scholarships as well, so I’m also wondering if those are announced at the same time as the departmental acceptance. A current student might be able to field that one…)

UAlbany, nothing yet. When my D auditioned just over two weeks ago, we were told that the letters would come out in two weeks. I know there were not finished with auditions, so I think the music department does rolling admissions. I also know that there is merit scholarships for the fine arts dept.

smorgasbord, they are doing both in state and out of state admission notifications. My daughter is out of state.

Oops. On post#88 on this threat, meant to say 1690 for all 3 parts of SAT but 1160 for just reading and math.
