Yes! My D has gotten the letter from the music department. She has been accepted to the Music Ed program. She has also been awarded the a Chancellor’s Talent Award. (Yes again!) However, this is a small scholarship and since we are out of state we were hoping that the amount would be higher. Does anyone have any perspective on scholarship awards in the music department?

I am so proud of her for getting the scholarship and at the same time concerned because we are talking about a lot of money - of course.

BTW she has also been accepted at UNH (in state) but we have no status on scholarships there.

Hello,
My son applied regular decision. His online account continues to read “Under review…”
No answer online yet. How did people who found out the past couple of days find out? Online? Letter?

My son got his acceptance package yesterday…and the online status updated this morning. It was a tough few days seeing that other RD acceptances were being sent.

Commonwealth Honors College
2k deans scholarship
Free Tuition Scholarship (which is funny, considering I already get free tuition since my dad works at a state college)

GPA: 3.3 UW 3.7 W
SAT: 1430/2040
ECs:
-A full year of college classes in place of senior year

I applied as a transfer student. Does anyone know how long it takes for the application to be processed? I sent everything in about 1 week ago. I am just really eager to know if I am going to school this fall.

My son’s application is still being reviewed according to UMass Amherst’s website. He is an international student, but will graduate from high school in the US this year. The wait is nerve wracking. Anyone in the same boat? Still crossing our fingers…

Rejected this afternoon.
AP’s, Honors, good essay, good recs, qualified for J&A Adams Tuition Break, 2.9 GPA, a few C’s and D’s
It was my safety and the last school to hear from.
Headed to community college and applying for spring semester.
Generally still shell shocked and hating life right about now.

I applied regular decision and I’m still waiting, my gpa is 3.3, Sats 1400 (math 550, reading 450, writing 400) I’m in 4 clubs (honor society, varsity club, math league and, sadd) I play 3 sports for my high school (football, golf, indoor track) I have a part time job where i work 15 hours a week and my rank is 53 out of 271, hoping I hear back this week because im tired if waiting, this is the last school I’m waiting for

Hi Susantwohig,
I was told last summer that they accept about 65 freshman to the Nursing program. Undergrad enrollment is listed at about 416 in Peterson’s 2010 nursing program guide, though. My son was recently accepted – in-state, CommColl, Dean’s merit scholarship (I guess $2k is all they give?), qualified for Adams scholarship – I’m told they only accept 3-7 men each year…:)

son still waiting to hear. Last one he is waiting for. The further we got into the application process, the more we realized what a great choice this would be. Applied regular decision mid-January. Check online everday. Still Under Review. Keeping our fingers crossed. Good luck to you

My son is still waiting to hear from UMass Amherst, too. It’s his first choice. He was accepted to UNH and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences right away. It’s so hard to wait. I hope everybody hears soon. Good luck!

Accepted to Commonwealth and Classical Voice
SAT: 1350/2060
GPA: A- (i don’t know on a 4 point scale)
Rank: 14/135 (counted as top 10%)

deans scholarship of $2000
and chancellors talent for $1,714 (tuition cost)

I believe the Chancellor scholarships were by major. I wish I had applied as pre-med because I’m undeclared as of now unless I accept my spot in the music program.

^^^ There is no “pre-med” major. You can have almost any major (maybe even music!), as long as you can complete the pre-professional requirements.

And you will certainly be able to declare a major that lets you do this, even if you start out as undeclared.

It’s so frustrating…online stat says still under review …getting desperate now…maybe that means in not accepted and I keep torturing myself by going on to fb threads of accepted freshmen!..
Went to high school in Jamaica but I’m a permanent resident so I apply as a domestic…cxc’s were
