If I have not found out now about admissions. Do you think that I have no chance at being accepted into the honors college?

A few words about the honor’s college: you can always get in for your soph year (need a 3.4 or so and to write an essay). Getting into honors does NOT guarantee honors housing. Honors is supposed to get you preferred registration: it does not for all classes. Also note that if you are in a tough major like engineering, getting into honors is sometimes a mixed blessing: that 3.4 GPA requirement is very tough to get/maintain in engineering. BTW, no word here either for regular admit. In state. Smiley face.

engineering. No mail…only the email the other day saying everything was mailed on the 16th. It would be nice to get a Christmas present in the mail though…

Got my acceptance in the mail yesterday, I live on the West Coast. Spire still says Under Review. STATS: 3.4 GPA, 560 Reading, 580 Math, 540 Writing. (1680 total)… And, Undeclared Major… $6K Scholarship
I basically have the same stats @coolchick2020 did you request an undeclared major or did they just admit you under that? I am still waiting to hear.

Did anyone who got in actually get the email? I’m starting to think everyone who got the EA mailing email was rejected or deferred…
I think the email is just admissions letting everyone know that they havent forgotten about you and to be patient. They are in holiday mode now…
I was accepted to UMass-Amherst for History with the Chancellor’s Scholarship. I’m originally from NJ but I’ve lived in Florida since 5th Grade. I have a 3.3 UWGPA and a 32 ACT. I’ve also gotten into the University of Minnesota and Fordham and I’m waiting to hear from Rutgers, UConn, and Boston U. UMass was already my #2 choice behind Rutgers, and the scholarship they gave me has definitely complicated my decision, which is a good problem to have, I’d say!
So just to clarify, the email was just a notification letting us know to hang tight? I keep refreshing my feed and i’m getting nothing and nothing has come in the mail. Do we know the decision sooner on Spire, or do we find out at the same time that the mail is sent out?
I requested an undeclared major in the Humanities and Fine Arts Exploratory Track.
did not get the “email” and nothing yet in snail mail, but this am spire changed to “congratulations
you’re accepted” So check your spire! The acceptance pattern is very random. Spire still says “under review” when you click on check application status, so no info on honors college, any merit $ etc. It did say primary major computer science. Now await snail mail, but a good Christmas present, hoping every single one of you hears today too
When I check spire there’s an empty box on the home page and then I get redirected to the applicant link 
That might mean you’re accepted. Spire said congratulations you’re accepted this am then logging in later page was mostly blank. Called Umass, they confirmed acceptance then said that’s normal for the page to change like that as they proceed in the process. Look for letter in mail. So might be a good sign!
No spire update, no snail email, & not even an email letting me know that they began to send out letters. This is getting exteemely frustrating as umass is my top choice.
when i check my spire it doesn’t load anything besides the options that are usually at the bottom that say “SPIRE help” and “UMass home” at the top of the page though as if its waiting to load so
