DD was accepted last week for Engineering and Honors College - found out via Snail Mail (so much more exciting to get the big envelope in the mail than to find out online!) and the SPIRE updated about 5-7 days later. She also received the Chancellor’s Scholarship for $12,000. 
We are OOS, but she’s been to visit once and loved it there!
S was accepted on Spire this past Wednesday, the big white envelope came in the mail yesterday, 4 days later. Accepted primary Major in Iseberg, 8K Scholarship. 3.8 W GPA and 29 ACT. Great ECs and Recs, Competitive HS. We are OOS
FYI, second big white envelope came yesterday, yep, “second” one. Exactly the same as the first package except the date of the “main” letter of acceptance, 1/8 vs. 1/7. I wish someone else would have received their first envelope rather than us receiving a duplicate package…

Still haven’t found out… nothing has come in the mail and nothing is updated on spire… I’m starting to get annoyed!
Yes, they did say it would take 2 more weeks. Very frustrating! If it’s a NO it will be even more frustrating! They should send those out earlier!

@becautious I do have a plan B. If umass wasent important to me I would have had dismissed it as an option to attend long ago. The admission office aint even replying to my emails anymore. All they have to say is decisions would keep coming till the end of january (as stated on their website). Before that they were saying EA applicants would be notified by jan15 to the most. Now tell me to what extent should I be trusting them when they keep extending deadlines. I am an international applicant and I need to start with student visa process in a timely manner. I know I am not the only one frustrated but still I wish umass could enhance their application process proportionately to the fees they charge intl. applicants. I want a guarantee that decision would come in the next 10 days and I will get calm. Thats all.
It’s an aggravating situation, I was half expecting to hear mid December!

Just received an email requesting I file my FAFSA but I have not heard if I am accepted yet. The last line of the email is “Best wishes for senior year. We hope to see you in the fall.” Would they ask for FAFSA from all applicants or only those accepted?
I just got the same E-Mail. Hoping for the latter.

I received the FAFSA Reminder email as well. I don’t think it means that we got in though. ;(

All schools send out this message to all candidates. My s got rejected by PSU but still received the fafsa email
Most schools have FAFSA deadlines before results are released. Therefore, if you will file a FAFSA, you need to do so, whether or not you know you are in. This is why we are all gettIng the FAFSA email. It is NOT an indication of acceptance
My son’s package came today. In state. Nothing about honors or scholarships but that’s ok. Keep hope alive they are still sending acceptances.
