Spire updated within 3 days (not 10 as announced, which seemed a bit ludicrous…) and event registration links became available. NO registration whatsoever over the phone.
Still waiting - its ridiculous. Applied end of November, RD - CS major, OOS, has been under review since Dec 1. I understand CS is one of the most competitive majors but make a decision already. Great offers from other schools…probably just going to go with one of them and write off UMass as a no at this point.
Just got word on e-mail and Spire this am that my D was accepted into the Exploratory Track, still no mail. Waiting to see if she got into the honors college! Huge relief.
My D (in state) just got a big envelope. Waiting for her to get home to find out details. She applied for Industrial Engineering. UMASS Amherst and WPI were top choices. Got wait listed at WPI so fingers crossed she got her major here.
Just found out today on spire my son was accepted, he got email! Woo hoo! undeclared exploratory natural sciences, which is what he wanted, he has no clue about a major. But, haven’t received the packet, so not sure if it was mailed or not, we have lots of issues with not receiving mail. He is instate MA
Everyone at my school got email acceptances. I didnt get one…Does that mean its a rejection?

@UMasswaiting Don’t assume anything. As of last night my D had no indication via e-mail or Spire that her application was even under review. A lot of her fellow students had already heard. The enveloce just arrived today via snail mail. Notifications seem to be all over the board.
Yes but today seemed like the last batch mostly everyone got it today

D accepted to the honors college this AM. News was posted on the spire applicant portal. Mo email nor snail mail (USPS). Purely digital portal notice change. In-state

In the complete same situation @ScoopsO … OOS, CS major, applied end of November, still heard nothing. Already got accepted to UConn, RPI, UD (honors), URI (honors), and UMD. Really good stats and extra curriculars. I’m just very disappointed in how long it has taken UMass, it’s making me completely throw away the possibility of going there by hearing very good offers from other schools so much earlier.
@firebro17 I am in the same position!!! Umass is top choice I got into those schools as well as a few more also. We also have similar stats. The wait is dreadful

We are OOS, my S was accepted in Dec for CS with chancellor’s $10,000/yr. He just accepted at UMD, that’s in state for us.
@nervoussaga When you log into the spire UMASS Amherst applicant portal, you will see the decision immediately.
OK, WOW. WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS. Big package in the mail yesterday… accepted… in state… no $$. Huge Problem is S did not receive entrance to his major CS. His 2nd option was history and they put him in that major. NO GO said he. Why go to your 2nd choice when all other schools accepted him to his first choice with plenty of $$. Email and package and spire all on same day. I am very surprised that the package in the mail was not very impressive. Out of all the other school packages he received that were fantastic this was just the letter and information on enrollment and another folder…We are very happy though that he is still going to go to UMASS still just a different one;) Congrats and good luck to all.
I applied in December and just recently it has changed to under review. This is my last decision I’m waiting for and I sure do hope it’s an acceptance!!
